Welshpool Skip Hire for Domestic, Trade and Commercial Projects
At Williams Skip Hire, we provide skip hire in Welshpool and the surrounding areas for domestic, trade and commercial customers. Whether you’re clearing out a home, managing garden waste, renovating a property or arranging waste removal for a larger project, we offer a wide range of skip sizes to suit different jobs, spaces and waste types.
Our skips range from 2 to 40 cubic yards, including open skips, enclosed skips and larger Roll-On Roll-Off containers for higher-volume waste. Many skip sizes are available with drop-down doors for easier loading, making them a practical option for household clearances and building projects.
All waste is processed at our licensed transfer station, where we recycle a high percentage of materials wherever possible – including wood, metal, cardboard, paper, plastics, brick, concrete and green waste.

Not sure what size skip you need or what can go inside it? Our team is happy to help you choose the right option based on your waste type, available space and project size.
From hire periods and permits to loading rules and restricted waste, we’ll help make the booking process straightforward from start to finish.
What size skip do I need?
The right skip depends on the type of waste, weight, available access and the size of your project. Smaller skips are ideal for DIY jobs and garden waste, while builder’s skips are better suited to heavier materials such as soil, rubble and construction waste.
How long can I keep the skip?
Standard hire includes up to 14 days. Longer hire periods can usually be arranged if needed — just let us know in advance.
Do I need a skip permit?
A permit is only required if the skip is placed on a public highway or council-owned land. If needed, we can arrange permits on your behalf, with council fees applying.
How full can I load the skip?
Skips must be filled level with the top edge. Overfilled skips cannot legally be transported and may not be collected until excess waste has been removed.
What can’t go in a skip?
Items such as asbestos, fridges, freezers, gas bottles, liquid chemicals, paints, lithium batteries and hazardous electrical items must not be placed in skips.
Can I dispose of plasterboard?
Yes, plasterboard can be accepted, but it must be kept separate from general mixed waste. Please contact us before loading plasterboard, as disposal is priced differently.
